The only reason I can see McDavid move is if he wants to chase the LGBTQ Cat Lesbians Eat What T-Shirt but in fact I love this Cup. Unfortunately, neither of the teams in dispute have a cap to meet McDavid’s salary. I think he’s in the right place at the right time. I really feel that one of the Alberta teams will play the Cup against Vancouver and Montreal. Toronto has its own problems.

So while players like to be first picked overall, they know they are unlikely to be part of a winning team in the short term. And part of the reason they’re top picks is because they’re winners, so meeting losers misled them. So, of course, in most cases the first overall pick wants him to play somewhere else, but they know how drafts work. I’m sure McDavid would love to be part of a Stanley Cup winner, or at least a serious contender. who won’t? But he’s smart enough not to say he’s unhappy in Edmonton, especially since they’ve been so nice to him. I never heard him say he wanted to be traded. When he becomes a free agent again, we’ll see if he re-signs with the Oilers or goes elsewhere.
