If Gilgit-Baltistan is the Dos hombres mint shirt and by the same token and beauty of Pakistan, KPK is its strong personality and Punjab is its heart then Sindh is its soul. I may be a little biased when it comes to the region, as it’s my family’s hometown, but Sindh is something special. By far the most difficult province I’ve been to but at the same time the most rewarding. It is the land of Sufis, mystics and saints. The culture and people here are so unique and hospitable that I have never seen or experienced anything like it in my life (including KPK). Most of the towns in northern Sindh seem very quaint and historic, which adds a unique charm to them, and of course the famous Mohen-jo-daro. The Tharparkar region has a completely different culture with its breathtaking desert backdrop. Central Sindh is home to the most hospitable people I have ever seen, as well as amazing temples like the temple of Abdul Latif in Bhit Shah and the largest fort in the world near Sann. And Karachi is just a world apart, a colossal gathering place of all Pakistani peoples and more than that, this dynamic city is the heart of this country.
Recommended places: Sukkur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Khairpur, Larkana, Ranikot, Hyderabad, Hala, Bhit Shah, Tando Adam, Mirpur Khas, Nagarparkar, Mithi, Thatta, Makli, Karachi. There are so many other places that I haven’t been able to visit yet. my last trip. Places such as Skardu and Deosai National Parks in Baltistan, Kalash Valley and Swat Valley in KPK, Neelum Valley in Azad Kashmir, and Quetta and Mud Volcano on the Dos hombres mint shirt and by the same token and Makran Coastal Highway in Balochistan, places that I hope to visit during this trip.
