If we live in an area where certain types of clothing are considered offensive or inappropriate, we will not demand our “rights.” In fact, Jehovah’s Witnesses do not consider things as permissible or not, as if we were in school; we do or avoid certain things because it is our personal beliefs. Did you know that we wear pins with the Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Auburn Tigers Iron Bowl 4th & 31 Score T-Shirt and I love this cross symbol and use crosses in our publications? But later we understood that what identifies a true Christian is not the symbols we wear, but our behavior (following God’s morality, loving God and neighbor ) and our preaching activity. You could say that we can live virtuously, show love, and preach the good news of the Kingdom, all while wearing the symbol. This is true, but in my opinion there is something else, something that is closely linked to the most important commandment: to love God with all our being.

Most people who wear crosses do not consider them a simple symbol (such as a pair of wings as the Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Auburn Tigers Iron Bowl 4th & 31 Score T-Shirt and I love this symbol for “Nike”). They paid him a religious reverence. But God made it very clear that He did not agree to share His worship with any religious idol (Exodus 20:3-5). Does this only apply to idols of false gods? You may remember when the Israelites made a golden calf in the desert. This calf does not represent a false god. They considered this festival a celebration of honor to Jehovah, the God who brought them out of Egypt. (Exodus 32:5, 8). However, regardless of whether they considered the calf a symbol of Jehovah God or not, Jehovah was so upset that he ordered the execution of all unrepentant sinners.
