I didn’t have the opportunity to wear a one-piece swimsuit until I was a teenager. My parents went to the seaside and I couldn’t go there because I had to work. My mother only brought her one swimsuit, which was the most modest. Because I was home alone and tried on the shirt she wore for a backcountry swim to see how it felt and fit her. When the sun went down, I put it on and went for a late night swim. It almost fits, mom doesn’t have big breasts so it’s not too big. It’s pretty tight everywhere, keeping everything tucked away. I slowly entered the swimming pool and felt my swimsuit gradually get wet. I swam around the pool enjoying every movement as the swimsuit pulled in different directions but didn’t reveal anything. When it was time to get out of the pool, I wrapped a towel around my chest like I’d seen my mother and sister do. When I reached the porch, I placed the towel on the lounge chair and lay down to dry before going inside. I remember that feeling because it dries much faster than men’s swim trunks. I was able to enjoy the week by swimming in my swimsuit and lying out to dry until the next evening!
